Good luck.Do I need a cv joint to change a wheel stud? You do not need to replace the cv joint to change a wheel stud.

Take a the tire off spin hub until it is on the opposite side of the brake caliper be care full not to hit the brake rotor use a punch and hammer or a mallet drive the broken wheel stud in towards the car. It should come out after about 3-4 good hits. Install the new wheel stud from the inside out tap in with a hammer make sure it seats all the way in.

Go to www.autozone.com they have repair manuals that tell and show you step by step how to fix your car. It is very handy.Do I need a cv joint to change a wheel stud?Slow down a bit and pay a bit more attention to what is being done in the video.

All he is doing is using a CV Joint %26quot;nut%26quot; to serve as a spacer while tightening the wheel nut, it pulls the stud into place. It saves in this case removing the whole hub assembly and pressing it in from behind once the splash guard is out of place.

If your car is RWD, then you remove the brake rotor and wheel studs come with it. Use a hammer, a small block of hardwood and safety eye wear and strike the stud out.Do I need a cv joint to change a wheel stud?to remove it jus knok it out but to replaced it is more difficult... hit it from the back as much as you can (wont go all the way in, next used the wheel knot to pull it inn make sure you have a washer between and the lug knot should be with the flat part against the washer (use your lug wrench

if you have an air gun will be much easierDo I need a cv joint to change a wheel stud?you have to remove the brake caliper and rotor.then beat it out.and install the new one
